We loved working on this Modern Farmhouse remodel in Northwest Arkansas. The clients approached Matisse Architecture & Design Studios before purchasing so we could perform a feasibility study, leading to the decision of the purchase and remodel of this 1900s farmhouse. The farmhouse had not been touched in 50 to 75 years and had to be completely gutted and redone. A bold design move for this project was to relocate the tiny narrow stairs, opening up the flow and ability to maximize the space for the Dining Room and adding tons of natural light into the interior of the house. A master bedroom and detached garage were also added to complete the client’s dream. The house has since been purchased and is currently undergoing another slighter remodel which we have also designed.
